Interior of Edmund H. Wilber’s cigar shop showing two men among shelves of goods and barrels, with one behind the counter. The shop, located at the northeast corner of River and Fair Haven Roads, was a well-known local gathering place called the “Eel Pot.” Wilber operated the business until around 1910, when cigar-making machines led to its closure; he later continued making cigars at home.
