On December 20, three astronauts blasted off to orbit the
moon for eleven days. They took pictures o f what they saw up
in space until the 30th o f December. On the 30th, they splashed
down in the Pacific Ocean.

the Baltimore Colts. Each player on tne winning team wins
$15,000, on the losing team, $9,500. The most valuable player
was Joe Namath.

Once there was a boy named James. He lived in a small town
called Button. One day James went down to the lake with his
fishing pole to catch a fish. He sat there for ten minutes. Then
he got hungry so he went home for lunch. Then he went back
to the lake. Five minutes later he had a pull on the pole. When
James pulled the fish out o f the water, he pulled it home. His
mother said the fish was ten feet long. Then she looked at
James. He was eleven feet tall. In a minute James’ father came
home. James said, “Why are you home so early?” His father
said, “Your mother called me up so I came home. James, how
come you are eleven feet tall?” James said, “I don’t know.”
James’ mother said, “James, Bill is here!” When James saw
Bill, he said, “Bill, you are so big.” “I don’t know why I am,”
said Bill. “I went to the lake and I caught a fish. Then my
mother said I was eleven feet tall and the fish was ten feet
long!” James’ mother came in and said, “Your father says that
the lake is a magic lake.” James said, “Can Bill and I go to the
lake?” His mother said, “N o, the lake is not a good lake.”

There was once a fisherman who lived in a house up in the
hills. Every day he went down to the river and said to nimself,
“Today I am going to catch a fifty foot fish!” That day, he
caught a two inch minnow. The man was so mad, he went back
to his house and took a nap. The next day, he went down to
the river and said to himself, “Today I am going to catch a
hundred foot fish.” The man threw his line in the water. The
man waited a long time. The man was getting mad so he
pulled in his line. It had a two inch minnow. The man was so
made he went straight to his house. The next day the old man
went down to the river and he said to himself, “Today I am
going to catch a five hundred foot fish.” The man threw in his
line and felt a big, big, big, big tug. The old man pulled in a
seven hundred foot fisn that was almost as big as the river. So
he did not have to go fishing again.

One day there was a man. He ate all the time. One day he
made jelly and it wiggled so much that he started to laugh. He
flabbergasted himself to death. He kept on laughing right in
his grave. He kept on laughing all the time in heaven. And
that*s why we still have earthquakes and that’s why you hear
thunder and lightning.

Once upon a time there was a boy named David. On the day
o f Easter ne saw the Easter Bunny and he screamed, “I saw the
Easter Bunny! I saw the Easter Bunny!” After that, everybody
jumped out o f their beds and ran down the stairs because they
wanted to see the Easter Bunny, too. When they saw him, they
all jumped on him and kissed him. They knew that the Easter
Bunny was their father. But the Easter Bunny was not their
father! The Easter Bunny was real!

Once upon a time, there was a penquin. He ate everything he
saw. When he was a baby, all he ate was fish. When he got
older his mother said, “Eat a little bit of everything!” So he
learned to like everything. He got fatter and fatter. Some say
his tummy was one hundred feet wide. Some say two hundred
feet wide. I don’t really know. One day he popped. Some say
he ran away to Cuba, and is still getting fatter and fatter.

Once there was an astronaut flying in space. Suddenly he
saw a flying saucer and wanted to find out what was in it. So he
got out o f his rocket and went to see. He saw two other
astronauts. They all went away and played bowling ball with
the planets. Then they set them up and went back to earth and
instead o f landing in the water, they splashed down.
