I’M TOO, TOO MUCH AN UNLUCKY DAY WINTER

I’m too young to stay up late. I woke up late. When winter comes, so extremely cold,
I’m too old for all those toys. I failed my spelling test. Crystalline icicles begin to form.
I’m too tall to get in free. I tripped and broke my I dread it when it shows so very hard,
I’m too short to reach the shelf. Especially in a torrent storm.
I’m too quiet in school; arm. But each snowflake is breath-taking,
I’m too loud at home My mother was not In its own unique way
I’m too slow getting dressed in the What a shame that it will have to do,
home. When the springtime comes in May.
morning I had to wait in the rain. As in everything else in life,
I’m too fast when I do my homework. I got pneumonia. Winter has its beauty and its darkness.
I don’t spend enough time cleaning Thank God it’s Friday.
                                                                            Cherilyn Lee
my room. Perry Schmergel Grade 5-C

When will I?

                                                                            MY FAMILY

                                                                      You’re so lovable and

            MY DREAM enthusiastic.

Mom, oh mom, you’re the best.

I love to dream a dream You’re lap comes in handy

Of white fluffy sheep When I want to rest.

Walking with a shepherd Brother, oh brother, you’re great

Along a azure stream. too.

                                                                      You’re always happy and never

Behind them is a mountain range sad and blue.

White with snowy glaciers.

Beside them is a group of trees Sanjeet Lamba

Swaying in the wind. Grade 5-C

Before them is a meadow,

The greenest ever seen.

Beneath their feet are flowers,

The colors of a rainbow, A SPORTS CHAIN
Raising their heads to meet the sun, LANTERNE
Shedding it’s warm light upon the world.

The sky is a true blue Sports
Splashed with feathery clouds. Baseball
That is what I love to dream Soccer, and
On a rainy day, Football they are
Or even during class! Fun!

Down the field Multiplication and subtraction,
MRS. MACDOUR OR MY UNLUCKY DAY We scored a goal Don’t forget the fractions,
                                             Yeah! History and English
Mrs. Macdour tore out of her house Are pretty easy, you see,
Screaming and screeching like any old mouse Base But all of these bore me!
She is called Mrs. Macdour, ball sin I have to do my homework,
Because she is always very sour, gle, double, When I get home from school,
Now when she came tearing out of there, Triple, home run If I do not do it,
She threw at me a rotten, old pear! Score! I’ll grow up to be a fool!
I never expected to see her that day
But I’m not that dumb and I didn’t stick Foot Meltem Kodaman
                                             ball, pass Grade 5-C
around to wait, catch, run, don’t
So I just turned around and ran out her get tackled, we
